The International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) is a professional body for research into production engineering. CIRP comes from the French acronym of College International pour la Recherche en Productique (CIRP). [1]

CIRP was founded in 1951 as the International Institution for Production Engineering Research. [2] [3]

CIRP uses different platforms for scientific exchange. One of this is "CIRP Global Web Conference on Production Engineering Research" born in 2011. [4] The CSI of Naples University, Ing Fabrizio Pietrafesa provided technical support for multimedial contents in 2014.

Joachim Milberg is a German engineer and manager who served as CEO of Bayerischen Motorenwerke AG (BMW). He was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMW until July 2015.

Gábor Stépán, Hungarian professor of applied mechanics, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, associate member of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), former dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Won the Széchenyi Prize in 2011 and the Thomas K. Caughey Dynamics Award in 2015. His research fields include nonlinear vibrations, delay-differential equations, and stability theory. He was elected as a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics in 2017, "for contributions to the theory and analysis of delayed dynamical systems and their applications".

Amitabha Bhattacharyya was an Indian production engineer and the director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He was credited with the establishment of the department of production engineering at Jadavpur University. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards for his contributions to Engineering Sciences in 1971.

Shixin Jack Hu is the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Georgia. He is also the UGA Foundation Distinguished Professor in the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering in the UGA College of Engineering.

Elizabeth Laverick Radar and electrical engineer
