The International Film Festival Play-Doc (Galician : Festival Internacional de Documentais Play-Doc) is a festival held annually in Tui, Galicia, dedicated to nonfiction cinema with a focus on local filmmaking.
Play-Doc was established in 2005 by Sara García Villanueva and Ángel Sánchez. [1] [2] The festival is managed by the cultural association Enfoques and supported by Acción Cultural Española, [3] it takes place annually in late April/early May in the Galician town of Tui. Apart from the main Galicia Competition, dedicated to contemporary cinema, [4] the festival offers many retrospective selections and has an intimate, genial atmosphere where the audience and filmmakers can interact freely. [5] The Resonancias section is managed by an independent group of ctitics and experts. [6] Every edition of Play-Doc features special seminars, notably a Film Criticism Seminar, led by Ricardo Vieira Lisboa, as well as music events. [7] [1] [8]
In 2005, Play-Doc collaborated with the Documania channel and established a special section Doc`amateur. [9]
In 2014, Play-Doc was selected one of the 10 most important events in the world of documentary film by New York Best Fest Film Series association. [10] [11] [6]
In 2024, Play-Doc inaugurated the Shadows section, dedicated to recovering the works of classic Galician filmmakers little known internationally. [12]

The Documentary Film Institute, is an independent organization within San Francisco State University that is dedicated to support non-fiction cinema by promoting documentary films and filmmakers and producing films on socially and culturally important topics which deserve wider recognition. It is about a van, that traverses the roads of Ukraine with the driver-director and evacuated people, following the Russian invasion. The vehicle becomes a fragile and temporary refuge of exiles whose only objective is to escape the war. It is a co-production between Poland, France and Ukraine.

Orlando, My Political Biography is a 2023 French documentary film directed by Paul B. Preciado. Preciado organizes a casting and brings together 26 contemporary trans and non-binary people, aged 8 to 70, to bring out Orlando of Virginia Woolf's 1928 novel Orlando: A Biography. It was selected in Encounter at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere on 18 February 2023. The film was also nominated for Berlinale Documentary Film Award, and won the Teddy Award for the Best Documentary Film.
Trenque Lauquen is a 2022 Argentine-German mystery-drama film directed by Laura Citarella, and starring Laura Paredes, who co-wrote the screenplay with Citarella. A sequel to Citarella's Ostende (2011), the film premiered in the Orizzonti section of the 79th edition of the Venice Film Festival. It was theatrically released in two parts.
