Iran Center for Management Studies (ICMS) is an institute located in Tehran, Iran. It was established in 1971 with the aim of providing graduate-level training for future managerial and leadership positions in business, government and other institutions in Iran. [1] [2]

History

ICMS was founded with the objective of creating an independent institution for management studies at the graduate level. [3] The ICMS was designed with inspiration from the Harvard Business School (HBS) curriculum. The teaching staff was predominantly composed of HBS professors who were on a break from their duties at Harvard. However, the original ICMS program was discontinued in 1980. [1]

Architecture

The ICMS building, located on Iranzman Street, Shahrak Gharb, Tehran, is an example of contemporary Iranian architecture. [4] [5]

Publications

Apart from its services and research contributions, ICMS is also known for publishing the Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Studies (JIEMS). [6]

Hossein Abdoh Tabrizi is an Iranian professor of Finance and a financial practitioner. Since 2013, he is an Honorary Adviser to Minister of Roads and Urban Development (Iran) and a member of Iranian Securities and Exchange Commission. He was the founder of Eghtesad Novin (EN) Bank, the first Iranian non-governmental bank, and a member of editorial board of various financial journals and the founder and owner of Sarmayeh newspaper. He also had several positions including the Secretary General of Tehran Stock Exchange (2003–2005), adviser to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance (2001–2005) and many different posts in Iranian financial sector.

The Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch (WTIAU) is a private university in Shahrak-e Gharb, Tehran, Iran. Founded in 1994 in the western part of Tehran, it offers more than 103 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines. It is considered to be the one of leading educational institutions in the country and has 14 approved doctoral programs, 45 master's programs, 38 continuous bachelor's programs, and 6 non-continuous bachelor's programs. It is one of the few remaining IAU branches that takes The Iranian University Entrance Exam for admission every year in June.

Yousef Shariatzadeh (1930-2001) was an Iranian architect and one of the pioneers of contemporary architecture in Iran. He was born in 1930 in Tabriz. He began his studies in the field of architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University and graduated from this university in 1963.
