Irteassh is an all-girl A cappella band based in Karachi, Pakistan, which appeared in Coke Studio (Pakistani TV program) in Season 10. [1] The band comprises 4 female vocalists Eman Pirzada, Ayesha Akbar Waheed, Sajar Nafees and Simal Nafees. Introduced by Salman Ahmad, Irteassh performed Ghoom Taana [2] with Momina Mustehsan [3] in Coke Studio (Pakistani season 10).

Early career

The four girls [4] were discovered by Salman Ahmed [2] of Junoon during a musical competition and he then took them to Coke Studio. [5] Soon after the show, they formed a band and Ayesha Akbar Waheed [6] came up with the name Irteassh [7] that means wave forms of the voice.

"Ghoom Taana" is a song by Pakistani sufi rock band Junoon. It was released as the fifth and final single from their seventh full-length studio album, Dewaar. The single also featured in Salman Ahmad's debut solo album, Infiniti. The song was originally sung jointly by Ali Noor, vocalist of Noori, and Ali Azmat. However, the duet sung with Shubha Mudgal featured only Salman Ahmad for the male vocals. In 2016, a new rendition of the song featured in the band's eighth studio album, Door.

Shuja Haider or Shuja Hyder is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, composer, and record producer. Haider is best known as a playback singer for films Khuda Kay Liye (2007) and Bol (2011) and more recently for his work on Coke Studio, Pakistan. Haider served as music director for Lux Style Awards for two years. He has produced over 50 albums in his career and is considered one of the most established music producers in Pakistan today.

"Afreen Afreen" is a nazm (song) performed and composed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. It first featured on their collaborative album Sangam in 1996. In 2016, it was covered by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustehsan during season 9 of Coke Studio.

Appeared in Nescafe Basement, the band had performed throughout Pakistan before appearing in Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The 5-member band consists of Asfar Hussain (vocalist), Haider Abbas (bassist), Shahrukh Aslam (guitarist), Muqeet Shahzad (guitarist), and Mansoor Lashari (drummer). The band members Shahzad and Abbas knew each other for more than a decade and played together in the school band. They moved to the underground music circuit and met Mansoor Lashari. In between, Lashari and Abbas became a part of Nescafe Basement where they performed with Hussain and Aslam. Thus, Bayaan came into existence. Bayaan is managed by their bassist, Haider Abbas.
