Isabel Meyrelles (born 1929) is a Portuguese surrealist sculptor and poet.

Born in Matosinhos, Meyrelles set up the Portuguese Surrealist group in Lisbon after meeting Mario Cesariny and Artur do Cruzeiro in 1949. She studied sculpture with Americo Gomes and Antonio Duarte before moving to Paris where she studied at the Sorbonne and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. [1]

La Mandrágora was a Chilean Surrealist group "officially founded" on 12 July 1938 by Braulio Arenas (1913-1988), Teófilo Cid and Enrique Gómez Correa. The group had met in Talca and first started exchanging in 1932. They published an eponymous review and an anthology of poetry, El A, G, C de la Mandrágora, which included works by all founders except Teófilo Cid. Politically, the group supported the Popular Front.

Mário-Henrique Leiria (1923–1980) was a Portuguese surrealist poet. Born in Lisbon, he studied at the Escola de Belas Artes. He and his fellow surrealists were involved in an absurdist plot to overthrow the dictatorship of Antonio Salazar. He is best known for his books Contos do Gin-Tonic and Novos Contos do Gin. He died in 1980.
