Isabelle Le Galo Flores (Spain, 1974) is secretary general of the European Economic and Social Committee since Dec 2023. [1] [2]
She studied mathematical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Paris, and afterwards political science at Science Po in Paris, where she got a master's degree. She continued her studies at the University of Glasgow, getting a postgraduate degree in strategy and leadership. [3]
She started a professional career empowering patients organizations from the health sector. She continued collaborating or working for various NGOs and foundations. Between 2014 and 2023 she served as director of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, [4] a family foundation focused on citizen art and sustainable food. [5] She is or has been board member of several organisations, like the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Foundations, of the board of the European and Spanish Philanthropic Coalitions for the Climate [6] and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid. She was defined as one of the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain 2020. [4]
In December 2023 she became the first woman serving as secretary general of the European Economic and Social Committee, [7] replacing Gianluca Brunetti. She is French and Spanish by nationality. [1]

Clara Ponsatí i Obiols is a Catalan economist and politician. She was appointed Minister of Education of the Government of Catalonia by President Carles Puigdemont on 14 July 2017, and was dismissed by the Spanish Government pursuant to Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution on 27 October 2017, due to the organisation of the 2017 Catalan independence referendum and the subsequent declaration of independence. The New patrons, in French Nouveaux commanditaires, are a series of art projects since the 1990s following a protocol that was drawn up by Belgian artist François Hers. The terms "Nouveaux commanditaires" or "New patrons" refer equally to the protocol that was established in 1990, the subsequent cultural policy movement, and to the resulting artworks, as well as to the multiple mediation organisations responsible for overseeing the art projects around the world.
