Isaque Bahiense is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt world champion competitor and professor, and founder of the Dream Art Project. [1] He had trained at Alliance Jiu Jitsu previously. [2]

Professional grappling career

2020-2021

Bahiense competed at BJJ Bet on September 6, 2020 where he submitted Gregor Gracie with a guillotine. [4] He was then invited to compete in a middleweight grand prix at BJJ Stars 4 on November 14, 2020. [5] He won his first two matches but lost to Leandro Lo in the final. [6]

Bahiense returned at BJJ Stars 5 on February 6, 2021 for a superfight with Roberto Jimenez. [7] He won the match 4-0 on points. [8] He then competed at Big Deal Pro 3 on July 10, 2021 where he defeated Servio Tulio on points. [9] He then won gold in the 85kg division of the Abu Dhabi World Pro on November 18, 2021. [10] On December 12, 2022, Bahiense competed in the middleweight division of the IBJJF World Championship and won a silver medal. [11]

2022-2023

On February 6, 2022, Bahiense won the 88kg division of the ADCC South American trials. [12] He entered the medium-heavyweight division of the IBJJF World Championship on June 5, 2022 and won a silver medal. [13] Bahiense then made his debut at the 2022 ADCC World Championship in the 88kg division, although he lost to eventual champion Giancarlo Bodoni in the opening round. [14] He then competed in the main event BJJ Stars 9 on October 9, 2022 against Micael Galvão. [15] He won the match on penalties. [16] He then competed in the IBJJF Grand Prix 2022 on October 28, where he won gold in the medium-heavyweight division. [17]

He was invited to compete against Tainan Dalpra in the main event of the IBJJF Grand Prix 2023 on March 3, 2023. [18] He lost the match on points. [19] He entered the medium-heavyweight division of the IBJJF World Championship on June 11, 2023 and won a bronze medal. [20]

Bahiense was invited to compete in a superfight against Matheus Spirandeli at BJJ Stars 11 on September 9, 2023. [21] He won the match by submission. [22] Bahiense competed in a rematch against Gustavo Batista in the main event of ADXC 1 on October 20, 2023. [23] [24] He won the match by unanimous decision. [25]

2024

Bahiense competed at the second ADCC South American Trials 2024 on March 9, 2024, where he won a bronze medal at under 88kg. [26]

Bahiense competed in the medium-heavyweight grand prix at BJJ Stars 12 on April 27, 2024. [27] He made it to the semi-final before losing on points to Fellipe Andrew. [28]

Mixed martial arts career

Bahiense announced in November 2023 that he was going to be making his professional MMA debut after the 2024 edition of the IBJJF World Championship. [29]

Micael Ferreira Galvão, commonly known as Mica Galvão, is a submission grappler, Luta Livre and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt competitor from the Brazilian state of Amazonas. A highly decorated athlete competing since childhood, Galvão was promoted to black belt in 2021, at the age of 17, less than three years after reaching blue belt. In 2022 Galvão won the 2022 IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship before testing positive for a banned substance, was stripped of said title and received a one-year suspension ban.

Craig Benjamin Jones is an Australian grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt competitor and coach. An IBJJF World No-Gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion as a white belt, Jones is a two-time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship silver medalist and a three-time Polaris Pro Grappling champion. Jones trains out of Austin, Texas, and is the head of B Team Jiu-Jitsu.

Kade Ruotolo is an American submission grappler and black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete. A competitor with his twin brother Tye since the age of 3, Ruotolo is a IBJJF World champion, Pan Am and European Open champion at coloured belt level. Promoted to black belt in December 2021, Ruotolo won the 2022 ADCC World Championship in the 77kg division, becoming at age 19 the youngest-ever ADCC Submission Fighting World champion. Ruotolo is signed to ONE Championship where he is the current lightweight submission grappling champion.

Giancarlo Bodoni is an American submission grappler and Brazilian jiujitsu black belt competitor from Miami, Florida. A multiple time World, Pan and European championships medallist in colored belts, Bodoni is the 2021 Pan No-Gi heavyweight champion and the 2022 ADCC Submission Fighting World Champion in the 88 kg division.

Fellipe Andrew Silva is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Rodrigo Cavaca. He is the 2021 World Champion in the absolute division and 2023 World Champion in the 94 kg division. He is Euros Champion in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. He is the Pan Champion of 2019, 2020, and 2021. Andrew was among six champions in the inaugural IBJJF Crown in 2023. In the lead-up to his championship wins, he was training at Zenith Academy HQ under Robert Drysdale.
