The Israel Premier Lacrosse League (IPLL) is the premier lacrosse league in Israel, which debuted in 2015. [1] The league competes during summer months only, in an attempt to attract players from abroad to participate. [2] The IPLL says they learned their lessons from the Israel Baseball League, and are running it in a manor that will enable them to be financially stable. [3]
Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal.
Israel, also known as the State of Israel, is a country in Western Asia, located on the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Red Sea. The Israel Baseball League was a six-team professional baseball league in Israel. The first game was played on June 24, 2007.

The 2015 season was the inaugural season of the IPLL. Barak Netanya LC won the IPLL Championship with a win over Haifa LC, with Bryan Hopper winning the EL AL Player of the Game award. [10] A total of 16 games were played, with each team playing eight games.

The 2016 season of the IPLL was their second season. Tel Aviv LC decided to suspend operations for the 2016 season, however Ashdod LC, Kiryat Gat LC, and Be'er Sheva LC joined the league for the 2016 season. A total of 22 games were played, with each team playing either seven or eight games. Be'er Sheva defeated Haifa in the finals 11:10 for the championship. [12]

The Israeli Premier League, officially Ligat Tel Aviv Stock Exchange for sponsorship reasons with Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, is an Israeli professional league for association football clubs. It is the highest tier of the professional Israeli football league system. The league is contested by 14 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Liga Leumit. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing between 33 to 36 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. Five games are played on Saturdays, with one game played on Sundays and one game on Mondays.

He played as a striker in the top level of Israeli league football for Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Haifa, Tzafririm Holon, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Beitar Jerusalem, Hapoel Haifa, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Ironi Rishon leZion, F.C. Ashdod and for the Israel national team. He also played for Austrian club Austria Wien for one season. He is both F.C. Ashdod's and the Israeli Premier League's record goalscorer. After retiring as a player, Holtzman worked as an assistant manager in F.C. Ashdod and Maccabi Netanya.
The 2009–10 Israeli Premier League was the 11th season since its introduction in 1999 and the 68th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 22 August 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010 with the last matches of the playoff round.
