Ljudski vrt is a football stadium in Maribor, Slovenia, which has a seating capacity of 11,671. It has been the home of NK Maribor since their formation in 1960, with the exception of a short period in early 1961. It was originally the home of several other football teams based in Maribor, including Rapid and Branik. A prominent feature of the stadium is the main grandstand with a concrete arch, which is protected by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia as an architectural and historical landmark.

Among the modes of expression of the culture of Slovenia, a nation-state in Central Europe, are music and dance, literature, visual arts, film, and theatre. A number of festivals take place, showcasing music and literature.

RK Krim Slovenian handball team

Rokometni klub Krim, commonly referred to as RK Krim or simply Krim, currently named Krim Mercator due to sponsorship reasons, is a women's handball club from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Krim was founded in 1984 and has won the Slovenian Championship a record 27 times. The club has also won the EHF Champions League twice, in 2001 and 2003.

<i>Silent Sonata</i> 2011 film

Silent Sonata is a 2011 Slovenian war drama film directed by Janez Burger and has no dialogue. The main producers are the Slovene Stara Gara and the Irish Fastnet Films. Silent Sonata is the first official Slovene-Irish-Swedish-Finnish co-production and was shot in 35 days in Slovenia and Ireland. The world premiere took place on the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2011. The production crew included members from at least 18 countries. The film's original title was Circus Fantasticus, but only in Slovenia, as it is distributed under its original title.

Class Enemy is a 2013 Slovenian drama film directed by Rok Biček. The film was selected as the Slovenian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. The 2019–20 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 29th edition of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its establishment in 1991. The season began on 13 July 2019 and was scheduled to end on 15 May 2020. The league was halted on 12 March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic in Slovenia, and later resumed on 15 June 2020. Celje won their first-ever league title and earned a place in the first qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League.
