Ivan Jacky Minnaert is a Belgian football coach who is currently assigned to Al-Ittihad Tripoly of the Libyan Premier League as of 2018/2019. He holds an UEFA Pro Licence, the highest football coaching qualification. He received the UEFA Pro Licence in 2012 from the Football Association of Spain.
Presented the head coach of Djoliba AC in autumn 2014, [1] Minnaert set his sights on staying at the club for ten years and earning at least one trophy for them [2] but stepped down from his position in 2015 when Djoliba games were invalidated, causing relegation to the second division before visiting Mali again in 2017. [3]
Negotiating a contract with AFC Leopards of the Kenyan Premier League in early 2016, [4] the Belgian signed a two-year deal with Ingwe in late February, [5] ending the unbeaten run of 35 games in the KPL of Gor Mahia, voted KPL coach of the month March but was fired by August for poor results, [6] including a six-game winless run, [7] despite being second early on, [8] with some urging him to step down beforehand. [9] In the end, he decided to sue AFC Leopards for salaries owed, which amounted to 24000 US dollars. [10]
Replacing Adda Benamar at AS Kaloum Star in mid 2017, [11] Minnaert made the quarterfinals of the Guinée Coupe Nationale, [12] his task was to escape relegation what he did. [13]
Assisting fellow Belgian Jean-François Losciuto at Black Leopards of the South African National First Division in late autumn 2017, [14] the former director became caretaker of the team a few days later, [15] making it the objective to achieve promotion and applied an offensive system in the team. Gor Mahia Football Club, commonly known as K'Ogalo, is a football club based in Nairobi, Kenya. The 2015 FKF President's Cup was the 44th season of Kenya's top domestic cup competition. It kicked off on 20 June and concluded on 13 December, with the domestic broadcasting rights for the competition held by SuperSport. Originally scheduled to begin on 6 June, participating teams were required to pay a registration fee of KSh. 30,000/= each by 30 May to enter the tournament. The competition's defending champions are Sofapaka, who beat second-tier side Posta Rangers 2–1 in the previous final. Unlike the previous competition, no teams were seeded and given byes to further rounds, with the Football Kenya Federation's media officer John Kariuki explaining the decision as a way of "trying to make the competition more exciting because this being the domestic cup competition, we want the thrill of big teams facing the prospect of losing in the hands of lower-ranked teams."
