Ivory Coast State in West Africa

Ivory Coast or Côte d'Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country located on the south coast of West Africa. Ivory Coast's political capital is Yamoussoukro in the centre of the country, while its economic capital and largest city is the port city of Abidjan. It borders Guinea and Liberia to the west, Burkina Faso and Mali to the north, Ghana to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea to the south.

2019 World Aquatics Championships 2019 edition of the World Aquatics Championships

The 2019 World Aquatics Championships are the 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 to 28 July 2019. The city has hosted the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.

Gwangju is the sixth-largest city in South Korea. It is a designated metropolitan city under the direct control of the central government's Home Minister. The city was also the capital of South Jeolla Province until the provincial office moved to the southern village of Namak in Muan County in 2005.

Laurent Gbagbo 4th President of Ivory Coast

Koudou Laurent Gbagbo is an Ivorian politician who was the President of Côte d'Ivoire from 2000 until his arrest in April 2011. A historian, Gbagbo was imprisoned in the early 1970s and again in the early 1990s, and he lived in exile in France during much of the 1980s as a result of his union activism. On 10 October 2010, they earned a shock 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier win at home against Algeria 2–0, which put them top of their qualification group. The team won its first FIFA World Cup qualifier on 2 June 2012 after beating Botswana 2–0 at home.

Boubacar Barry Ivorian footballer

Boubacar Barry is an Ivorian retired football goalkeeper who spent most of his club career playing in Belgium while representing the Ivory Coast national team at international level. Copa retired from international football on 2 March 2015 but continued to play for his club Lokeren. When his contract at Lokeren ran out, he was signed by Belgian First Division B team Oud-Heverlee Leuven where he was part of the squad during the 2017–18 and 2018–19 season as backup goalkeeper, but was effectively employed as goalkeeping coach. Exactly four years after his international retirement, Copa retired also professionally as a player on 2 March 2019, although at that point in time he had not played a match for over two years.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to be the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
