J. C. "Bo" Ausmus III is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001. Ausmus was elected in 1998 after incumbent representative Michael Bowling retired. [1] He did not seek reelection in 2000. [2]
Ernest Lee Fletcher is an American physician and politician who was the 60th governor of Kentucky from 2003 to 2007. He previously served three consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives before resigning after elected governor. A member of the Republican Party,Fletcher was a family practice physician and a Baptist lay minister and is the second physician to be elected Governor of Kentucky;the first was Luke P. Blackburn in 1879. He was also the first Republican governor of Kentucky since Louie Nunn left office in 1971.

David Lewis Williams is an American attorney,Republican politician,and a judge from the U.S. state of Kentucky. From the year 1987 to 2012,Williams represented Senate District 16,a position he secured upon the retirement of fellow Republican Doug Moseley. When Republicans gained control of the state senate in 2000,Williams was chosen as President of the Senate,and held that post continuously until his resignation in November 2012. In September 2010,he announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for governor in the 2011 gubernatorial election. On May 17,2011,Williams secured the Republican nomination over Tea Party movement-backed Phil Moffet. However,he lost the general election by twenty points to incumbent Democratic Governor Steve Beshear. In November 2012,Williams resigned his Senate seat to accept a circuit court judgeship.

Bowling was first elected in 1990,defeating Republican incumbent Pearl Ray LeFevers. He did not seek reelection in 1998 and was succeeded by Republican J. C. Ausmus.
