The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent agency of the federal government of the United States that enforces U.S. labor law in relation to collective bargaining and unfair labor practices. Under the National Labor Relations Act of 1935,the NLRB has the authority to supervise elections for labor union representation and to investigate and remedy unfair labor practices. Unfair labor practices may involve union-related situations or instances of protected concerted activity.

The NCUA Operating Fund,with the Share Insurance Fund,finances the agency's operations.
The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) is a formal U.S. government interagency body composed of five banking regulators that is "empowered to prescribe uniform principles,standards,and report forms to promote uniformity in the supervision of financial institutions". Created in 1970,the Share Insurance Fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration,an independent federal financial regulator. Approximately 236,000 people were directly employed by credit unions per data derived from the 2012 National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Credit Union Directory. As of 2019,there were 5,236 federally insured credit unions with 120.4 million members,and deposits of $1.22 trillion.
