Juan John van der Mescht (born 4 May 1999) is a South African rugby union player for the Sharks in Super Rugby and in the Currie Cup and the Sharks XV in the Rugby Challenge. [1] His regular position is lock.

JJ is known for his powerful and aggressive style of play, this is helped by his intimidating stature and physical prowess.
