Jibril Blessing (born 15 April 1988), [1] professionally known as J Blessing or jblessing, is a Kenyan cinematographer and music video and television producer and director. He is the cinematographer and director of the TV comedy series The Churchill Show .

Early life and education

Blessing grew up in the suburbs of Komarock Phase 2, near Zone 3 and started out as a dancer. [2] He studied at the Los Angeles Film School in California. [3] [ better source needed ]

Career

After working as a freelance video director and producer, Blessing founded Link Video Global, a production company based in Nairobi. [2] [4] He also owns Digitone Agency [5] and is co-founder and CEO of Keep Pace Africa.[ citation needed ] Musicians and producers who credit him for starting their careers include Willy Paul [6] and music video producer Young Wallace.[ citation needed ]

Blessing is the longest-serving video producer on The Churchill Show. [2] [7] [8] [9] As of December 2019 he was also developing new shows for the production company, Laugh Industry. [10]

Personal life

Until 2017, Blessing was in a long-term relationship with Chantelle, with whom he had a son, who died young. [11] Since 2018, he has been rumored to be in a relationship with singer Avril and to have fathered a child by her, [12] [1] but he introduced a different woman as his girlfriend in November 2018. [13] He is the father of singer Laika's first child. [14]

Camp Mulla was an alternative hip hop group originating from and based in Nairobi, Kenya. Daniel Wambua Ndambuki famously known as Churchill is a Kenyan comedian who hosts the comedy television show Churchill Show on NTV Kenya. Churchill was born in Kitui town, but moved to Machakos. He has worked in the comedy industry since 1996 and has now become a household name in Kenya. He launched the Churchill Live Comedy Show in September 2008 but was renamed Churchill Show during its third season in 2012. The show has given a platform to hundreds of comedians in the country.
