Jack Hehir was an Irish soccer player during the first two decades of the 20th century.
Hehir kept goal for the amateur Bohemians during the early century, [1] winning Leinster Senior Cup medals along the way. However his greatest success was appearing in goal in Bohemians' 1908 Irish Cup winning team when they defeated Shelbourne after a replay. Jack played alongside the likes of Richard Hooper, Ned Brookes and Johnny McDonnell during his time at Dalymount Park.
Bohemian Football Club, more commonly referred to as Bohemians or Bohs, is a professional football club from Dublin, Ireland. Mick O'Flanagan was an Irish former sportsman who represented his country at both soccer and rugby union. As a soccer player, O'Flanagan played for, among others, Home Farm, Bohemians and Belfast Celtic. His older brother, Kevin O'Flanagan, was also a notable sportsman who also represented his country at both sports and played soccer for Bohs and Arsenal. On 30 September 1946, Mick and Kevin also played international soccer together for Ireland against England. A third brother, Charlie O'Flanagan, also played for Bohs.
Alan Reynolds is a former Irish footballer and coach. He is currently the assistant manager of both Waterford in the League of Ireland First Division & the Republic of Ireland U21. He has also previously worked as a Football In Community Development Officer for the Football Association of Ireland.
Denis J. Hannon, also known as Dinny Hannon or Dinney Hannon, was an Irish footballer who played as an inside-right for both Bohemians and Athlone Town. Born in Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland, Hannon was also a dual international and played for both Ireland teams - the IFA XI and the FAI XI. He was the first player ever to do this. In 1913 he was a member of the first ever IFA XI to beat England and in 1924 he represented the Irish Free State at the Paris Olympics.
William Hooper was an Irish doctor, and soccer player. He married Eileen Moyà (Aileen)O'Brien from Mitchelstown, Co Cork in 1912 and they went on to have seven children.
Herbert William Joseph Kerr, also known as Bertie Kerr or Bert Kerr, was an Irish association football player during the 1910s and 1920s. Kerr played for Bohemians, the League of Ireland XI and Ireland. In 1924, he was a member of the first Ireland team selected by the FAI and at the same time he represented Ireland at the 1924 Olympics. He was also the first player to captain an FAI Ireland team in a home international. After retiring as a footballer, Kerr established himself a worldwide reputation as a leading bloodstock agent. Among the many racehorses he bought and sold were Nasrullah and Tomy Lee, who won the 1959 Kentucky Derby. Kerr also traded horses that won the Aintree Grand National, the Grand Prix de Paris, the French Derby, the Irish 2,000 Guineas, and the Irish St. Leger. His younger brother Kevin also played for Bohemians and was a successful horse trainer. His niece, Virginia Kerr, is one of Ireland's leading opera singers.
Christopher Stephen Forrester is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for St Patrick's Athletic in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He has also previously played for Bohemians, Peterborough United, Aberdeen and the Republic of Ireland under-21's. In March 2016 he was called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad but has yet to be capped.
Olympia Football Club was an Irish association football club, originally based in The Coombe, Dublin. In 1917–18 Olympia won a Leinster cup double, winning both the Leinster Junior Cup and Leinster Senior Cup in the same season. In 1921–22 they were also founder members of the League of Ireland.
Alistair Michael Coote is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Irish club Bohemians as a midfielder. He began his career with Dundee United and made his first team debut in 2015, before joining Brentford B in 2017. He represented Scotland at U15, U16 and U17 level.
John William Peterson was an Ireland men's field hockey international. He was a member of the Ireland team that played at the 1908 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. Peterson was one of six brothers who played field hockey for Avoca, Palmerstown and Ireland. His brother, Walter Peterson, also played for Ireland at the 1908 Summer Olympics. Jack and Walter Peterson were also team mates at Monkstown. Peterson also won Irish Senior Cup titles with both Palmerstown and Monkstown.
