Jack Thomson (born 25 January 1929) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). [1]
The Coleman Medal is an Australian rules football award given annually to the Australian Football League (AFL) player who kicks the most goals in the home-and-away season. It is named after Essendon full-forward John Coleman, one of the most prolific goalkickers in the league's history, who was league leading goalkicker for five consecutive seasons.

Bruce Abernethy is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club Collingwood Football Club and Adelaide Football Club in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL), and the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and is a media personality.
Larry Donohue is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club from 1973 to 1980, playing 105 games kicking 339 goals. He was recruited from the Thomson Football Club. He won the Coleman Medal in 1976 after kicking 99 goals. Donohue kicked 95 goals in 1978 and headed the Cats goalkicking from 1975 to 1978. Donohue moved to Fitzroy but never played senior football with the Lions retiring because of injuries. Donohue later coached locally in Geelong at Thomson and Newcomb guiding the Dinosaurs to the 1988 Bellarine Football League premiership. His son, Adam, was taken as a father/son selection in the 2007 AFL Draft. He did not play a senior game.

He played junior representative football with the Bendigo Pioneers, was drafted by Richmond with the 21st pick in 2019 AFL draft and made his debut in round 14 of the 2020 season. He is the younger brother of St Kilda midfielder Paddy Dow.
