Jacob Tsur (1906-1991) was the first Israeli minister to Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, [1] and Chile (1949-1953), and was ambassador to France from 1953 until 1956. [2] From 1961 until 1977, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors for Kerel Kayemeth LeIsrael Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF). [3]
Tsur was born in Vilna to father Samuel Tchernowitz and moved to Israel in 1921. [2]

Yad Kennedy, located in the Mateh Yehuda Region near Jerusalem, is a memorial to John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, who was assassinated in Dallas, Texas in 1963. The 60-foot high (18 m) memorial is shaped like the stump of a felled tree, symbolizing a life cut short. Inside is a bronze relief of Kennedy, with an eternal flame burning in the center. It is encircled by 51 concrete columns, one for each of the 50 states in the United States plus one for Washington, D.C., the United States capital. The emblems of the states are displayed on each of the columns, and the columns are separated by slim panels of glass. The monument measures approximately 250 feet (76 m) in circumference around its base, and there is space within the memorial for approximately 100 visitors at a time. The monument was built in 1966 with funds donated by American Jewish communities.
HaZor'im is a religious moshav in northern Israel. Located three kilometres south-west of Tiberias, it falls under the jurisdiction of Lower Galilee Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,108.
The Jesus Trail is a 65 km (40 mi) hiking and pilgrimage route in the Galilee region of Israel that traces the route Jesus may have walked, connecting many sites from his life and ministry. The main part of the trail begins in Nazareth and passes through Sepphoris, Cana, the Horns of Hattin, Mount Arbel Cliffs, the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Tabgha, and the Mount of Beatitudes. An alternate return route passes by Tiberias, the Jordan River, Mount Tabor, and Mount Precipice.
The 9/11 Living Memorial Plaza consists of an Israeli cenotaph surrounded by a larger complex near Ramot, Jerusalem. It was built on 5 acres (2.0 ha) of land, having been completed in 2009, and had been designed by Israeli artist Eliezer Weishoff to honour the victims of the September 11 attacks, which were carried out by al-Qaeda against the United States in 2001.
Aytzim, formerly the Green Zionist Alliance (GZA), is a New York–based Jewish environmental organization that is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit charity. Adullam-France Park, also known as Parc de France-Adoulam, is a sprawling park of 50,000 dunams (ca. 12,350 acres) in the Central District of Israel, located south of Beit Shemesh. The park, established in 2008 for public recreation, features two major hiking and biking trails, and four major archaeological sites from the Second Temple period. It stretches between Naḥal Ha-Elah, its northernmost boundary, to Naḥal Guvrin, its southernmost boundary. To its west lies the Beit Guvrin-Beit Shemesh highway, and to its east the "green line" – now territories under joint Israeli-Palestinian Arab control – which marks its limit.
Atatürk Forest is a planted forest named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Turkish Republic, located in the southern area of Mount Carmel in Israel. The forest was planted on barren land by immigrants from Turkey in 1953.
