Jacques-Henri Bronckart is a Belgian film producer.

Bronckart was born in Liège, Belgium. He attended the University of Liège and earned a degree in communication and cinema in 1994. Bronckart's career as a producer began in the mid 1990s as an assistant for Latitude Productions, producing early short films directed by Bouli Lanners and Micha Wald. [1] He then founded the production company Versus in April 1999 with his older brother Olivier. [2] Bronckart was a producer of the film Days of Glory , which was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 79th Academy Awards. [3] Through his production company, he frequently collaborated with Bouli Lanners, Olivier Masset-Depasse, Joachim Lafosse, and Fien Troch. [4]

In 2009, Jacques-Henri and Olivier Bronckart founded the film distribution company O'Brother in Brussels. [5] In 2013, Bronckart received a Magritte Award in the category of Best Flemish Film in Coproduction for his work on Kid (2012). [6] He was also nominated for a Magritte Award for Best Foreign Film in Coproduction for his work on The Nun (2013). [7]

Potiche is a 2010 comedy film written and directed by François Ozon, based on the play of the same name by Pierre Barillet and Jean-Pierre Gredy. It stars Catherine Deneuve, Gérard Depardieu, Fabrice Luchini, Karin Viard, Judith Godrèche and Jérémie Renier. Set in 1977, the film tells the story of a submissive wife who gets to run her husband's umbrella factory, after the employees rebel against their tyrannical manager. Frank Valken a career criminal, commits a bank heist with his crew, and is set up by corrupt police, for the murder of a judge investigating the 30 year old unsolved case of the mass murders of Brabant who had been duped into being at the getaway scene, and for killing bystanders who witness the murder.
