Jafar Nainggolan (born 23 July 1946) is an Indonesian politician and retired military colonel who served as a member of the People's Representative Council (DPR) from 2009 to 2014. He represented the electoral district of Sumatra Utara I,which covers the provinces of North Sumatra and Aceh. He is a member of the Partai Demokrat,the ruling party of former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. [1]

The Battle of Plassey was a decisive victory of the British East India Company,under the leadership of Robert Clive,over the Nawab of Bengal and his French allies on 23 June 1757. The victory was made possible by the defection of Mir Jafar,Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah's commander in chief. The battle helped the British East India Company take control of Bengal in 1772.
