Jaguar Bingham (known mononymously as Jaguar) is a British disc jockey and radio presenter who presents on BBC Radio 1 and co-hosts the annual International Music Summit Ibiza.
Jaguar is half Ghanaian and half English, and grew up on the island of Alderney in the Channel Islands, before going to boarding school in Hampshire from the age of 10. [1] [2]
Jaguar presented on student radio while at university in Leeds. At the age of 19, she started an internship at BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. [3] She also had work experience at Mixmag in 2015 and was their weekend editor for two years before hosting the Mixmag’s weekly office party The Lab LDN.
At Radio 1, Jaguar works in the BBC Introducing team. In April 2020, she began presenting the Introducing Dance show on Sunday nights, [4] which moved to Thursday nights as part of a wider timetable reshuffle in September 2021. [5] In 2021, Mixmag crowned Jaguar Broadcaster of the year and she won DJ Mag’s Best of British Best Radio Show award by public vote. [6] She also launched Future1000, an initiative focused on helping develop the electronic music careers of female, trans, and non-binary applicants of ages 12-18, consisting of a free, 12-part video course introducing them to DJing, music production, and radio hosting. [2] Jaguar launched the weekly dance music podcast UTOPIA Talks in 2021, which focuses on celebrating dance music and examines the various challenges facing the electronic music scene. [7]
In 2022 Jaguar founded the Jaguar Foundation, an organisation created to make electronic music more equitable for marginalised groups. [2] [8] The foundation published their debut report Progressing Gender Representation in UK Dance Music in August 2022. [8]
Since 2022, Jaguar has been the co-host of the International Music Summit Ibiza alongside DJ Pete Tong. [9] [10]

Julius O'Riordan, better known by his stage name Judge Jules, is a British dance music DJ, record producer and entertainment lawyer. He is known for his DJ activities, music production and long-running radio show which achieved global success. He was voted best DJ in the world by DJ Mag in 1995.

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 and 2:00 a.m. UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run of nearly 30 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule. It is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

Balearic beat was named for its popularity among European nightclub and beach rave patrons on the Balearic island of Ibiza, a popular tourist destination. Some dance music compilations referred to it as "the sound of Ibiza", even though many other, more aggressive and upbeat forms of dance music could be heard on the island, such as Balearic trance.

International Music Summit (IMS) is a 3-day electronic dance music (EDM) conference that takes place in Ibiza. It is described by founder Pete Tong as "an intense networking environment with the glamour and glitz of my favorite party island of Ibiza, but with a Back to Business ethos and leading into the official Ibiza opening party weekend". The conference is seen as a direct competitor to Miami's Winter Music Conference.
