Jahan Gulam Nuristani (born 1925) is an Afghan former field hockey player.
He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympic Games and the 1956 Summer Olympic Games. He played in five of Afghanistan's six field hockey matches in the two Olympics, scoring 2 goals. [1]
Dr. Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani is a former politician from Afghanistan. He served as governor of Herat province from January 2009 to August 2010. In September 2018, President Ashraf Ghani appointed Nuristani to the Meshrano Jirga, the upper body of parliament in Afghanistan. From 2005 to 2008 he was the 1st Deputy Defense Minister, Government of Afghanistan. He was recently convicted in the United States and in Afghanistan.

Gurdev Singh Kular is a former Indian field hockey player, originally from Sansarpur. He was part of the Indian field hockey team at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, which won the gold medal. He was also a member of the field hockey team for the 1958 Tokyo and 1962 Jakarta Asian Games, the latter of which he was captain for. He was also the captain of the gold-medallist Punjab team in the national hockey championship in Bhopal same year. In 1964, he led a team tour to Afghanistan as captain.
