Jake Rodenhouse is a record producer and multi-instrumentalist, and the founder of Perfect Sound Studios. He was also a member of the band The City Drive. He currently resides in Hollywood, California.
Between 2002 and 2004, Jake combined efforts with Dave Drago to operate the Hopewell Recording Studio in Canandaigua, New York; a foray self described as a "project studio." It recorded artists predominantly from the Rochester area. While the studio is no longer recording, its website remains for archiving purposes.
Once finished with the Canandaigua studio, Jake moved to Los Angeles, California, where he met Chris Perry and eventually became a bass player for The City Drive in 2007. Immediately following the band's dismemberment, Jake, along with Norm Kerner, began the development of a private recording studio, Perfect Sound Studios, which began recording in November 2009, and is located in the salubrious Hollywood Hills.
Alongside Jake is Jason Donaghy, audio engineer who worked on Band of Horses' Grammy nominated album, Infinite Arms, while at Perfect Sound.

Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. They have released ten studio albums, the last nine featuring the current line-up.
A Perfect Circle is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. A Perfect Circle released three of their four studio albums in the early 2000s: their debut Mer de Noms in 2000, a follow-up, Thirteenth Step in 2003; and an album of radically re-worked cover songs, Emotive, in 2004. Shortly after Emotive's release, the band went on hiatus; Keenan returned to Tool and started up solo work under the band name Puscifer, while Howerdel released a solo album, Keep Telling Myself It's Alright, under the moniker Ashes Divide. Band activity was sporadic in the following years; the band reformed in 2010, and played live shows on and off between 2010 and 2013, but fell into inactivity after the release of their greatest hits album, Three Sixty, and a live album box set, A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo in late 2013. The band reformed in 2017 to record a fourth album, Eat the Elephant, which was released in 2018. After spending the rest of the year touring in support of the album, the band fell into inactivity until 2024 for a brief tour and one-off song "Kindred".

Borders & Boundaries is the fourth studio album by ska punk band Less Than Jake. It was released October 24, 2000 on Fat Wreck Chords. The album was recorded at Grand Master Studios in Hollywood, CA, with producer Steve Kravac, and is the final studio album to feature saxophonist Derron Nuhfer and trombonist Pete Anna. The name of the album can he heard in a lyric from the opening track, "Magnetic North."

Sound City Studios is a recording studio in Los Angeles, California, known as one of the most successful in popular music. The complex opened in 1969 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. The facility had previously been a production factory of the English musical instrument manufacturer Vox. Infinite Arms is the third album by indie rock band Band of Horses, released on May 18, 2010, on Brown Records, Fat Possum Records and Columbia. Most of the album was recorded in Asheville, North Carolina with some overdubbing done in Los Angeles. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Alternative Album category.

Jason Donaghy is a two-time Grammy nominated recording engineer, mixer, and producer, who has done work with artists including Band of Horses, Ryan Adams, and Josh Ritter, among others. Hailing from Dublin, he currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he has garnered two Grammy nominations; for his work on Band of Horses' third record, Infinite Arms, and Sum 41's fifth record, Screaming Bloody Murder, respectively, while at Perfect Sound Studios.
