James Albanie (born 1 May 1968) is a South African cricketer. He played in one List A and ten first-class matches for Boland from 1995/96 to 1998/99. [1]

Harry Boland Irish republican and politician

Harry Boland was an Irish republican politician. He was elected at the 1918 general election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Roscommon, but as with other Sinn Féin candidates, he did not take seat in the British House of Commons, serving instead as a Teachta Dála (TD) in the First Dáil.

The Boland is a first-class cricket team that nominally represents the Boland region, in the South African province of Western Cape, in the CSA Provincial Competitions. The team is selected and supported by the Boland Cricket Board (BCB) and plays its home games at Boland Park in Paarl. At organisational level, the BCB is responsible for the administration and development of cricket in the region and among its primary functions are management and promotion of the Boland team. The current BCB was founded in 1992 as a merger between the Boland Cricket Union and an earlier Boland Cricket Board.

David James Millns is a former English professional cricketer who played for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Tasmania and Boland. Millns was a fast bowler, and a lower order batsman who was part of two championship winning sides with Leicestershire.

However, in October 2017, Cricket South Africa initially postponed the tournament until November 2018, with it being cancelled soon after.

Scott Michael Boland is an Australian cricketer. He plays for Victoria and the Hobart Hurricanes. In March 2019, he was named the Shield Player of the Year by Cricket Australia.

The 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a List A cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 9 October 2016 to 2 April 2017. The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup, a first-class competition which featured the same teams.

Ricardo Surrador Vasconcelos is a Portuguese-South African cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Boland in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 10 November 2016. He made his List A debut for Boland in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 13 November 2016. He made his Twenty20 debut for Boland in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup on 15 September 2017.

The 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a domestic one-day cricket tournament that took place in South Africa from October to March 2020. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup, a first-class competition which featured the same teams. On 16 March 2020, Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 24 March 2020, Free State and Northern Cape were named as the joint-winners of the tournament, after finishing top of Groups A and B respectively. This was following the recommendations made by Graeme Smith, the acting Director of Cricket.
