James Ladyman is a philosopher of science, and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Bristol. [1] He is a current Associate Editor of Elsevier's Studies in History and Philosophy of Science , [2] having been an Editor-in-Chief of Studies in History and Philosophy of Science Part B: Studies in History and Philosophy of Modern Physics until it was retired as a separate journal in 2021. [3] He has previously served as President of the British Society for the Philosophy of Science, [4] and past Editor of the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science. [5] He is best known for his work on Structural realism (philosophy of science), and especially Ontic Structural Realism.
