James Sharman (born April 13, 1974) is a writer and sportscaster at Homestand Sports focusing on soccer. He is also co-founder and host at Footy Prime the Podcast. James also frequently appears on Rogers Sportsnet and Sportsnet theFan 590. In 2019, he launched Sharman's Proper Pies with his wife, Toni.
Born in Sevenoaks, England, he started working for The Score in 1997.
He was the host of The Footy Show on The Score [1] [2] and he was a co-host on The Hardcore Footy Show when this show was broadcast on Hardcore Sports Radio, Sirius XM Radio channel 98, alongside fellow Englishman Kristian Jack and sportscaster Brendan Dunlop.
With the 2006 introduction of Toronto FC into Major League Soccer, Sharman has also done play-by-play for some games. As of 2016, Sharman has served as colour analyst on the radio broadcast of matches on Sportsnet 590 The Fan.
After the Score was purchased by Sportsnet in 2012 and re-branded as Sportsnet 360, [3] Sharman became one of the regular co-hosts of Soccer Central . He often appears on Sportsnet's Premier League coverage in Canada alongside broadcasters such as Danny Dichio and Craig Forrest.
During an interview with TheScore.com, Sharman stated that his interests include soccer, rugby, travelling, and cooking. [4] His favourite soccer club is Liverpool.
Sharman joined OneSoccer in 2020 as the host of "OneNation", a magazine show covering soccer from around the world; he is often joined by Forrest, Dichio, Terry Dunfield, and other Canadian internationals as analysts. [5]
Sportsnet is a Canadian English-language discretionary sports specialty channel owned by Rogers Sports & Media. It was established in 1998 as CTV Sportsnet, a joint venture between CTV, Liberty Media, and Rogers Media. CTV parent Bell Globemedia then was required to divest its stake in the network following its 2001 acquisition of competing network TSN. Rogers then became the sole owner of Sportsnet in 2004 after it bought the remaining minority stake that was held by Fox.
CJCL is a Canadian sports radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Sportsnet 360 (SN360) is a Canadian discretionary specialty channel owned by Rogers Media. The channel was launched in 1994 as the licence-exempt service Sportscope, which featured a display of sports news and scores. In 1997, the network was re-launched under Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) licensing as Headline Sports, adding anchored segments to its rolling sports news programming. In 2000, the network gained the ability to air occasional broadcasts of live sporting events, and was re-launched as The Score. In 2012, the network's parent company Score Media announced that it would sell the network to Rogers Communications, which owns the competing Sportsnet family of sports television networks; in 2013, the network was re-branded as Sportsnet 360.
Prime Time Sports was a sports radio talk show produced from the studios of CJCL, Sportsnet 590 The Fan, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The show was hosted by Bob McCown until June 21, 2019, when McCown left the show. After his departure, the show was hosted by Jeff Blair, with Stephen Brunt or Richard Deitsch serving as co-hosts until its final show on October 11, 2019.

He and Glen Suitor were the lead broadcast team for the CFL on TSN from 2008 to 2019 before Cuthbert gave that lead play-by-play role to Rod Smith.

The program was first introduced on August 17, 2012 as Fox Soccer News; the program was originally produced for U.S. cable channel Fox Soccer as a replacement for the Fox Soccer Report, which was produced out of Winnipeg by the now-defunct Fox Sports World Canada in a similar arrangement.

Tim & Friends is a sports talk show hosted by Tim Micallef that was produced by the Canadian sports television network Sportsnet where it aired. The program, originally known as Tim & Sid and hosted by Micallef and Sid Seixeiro, was established in 2011 as an afternoon radio show on CJCL. The program gained a television simulcast on The Score in 2013. On July 1, 2015, the program was re-launched on Sportsnet as a dedicated television program. On October 14, 2019, the Tim & Sid telecasts began simulcasting on CJCL, replacing Prime Time Sports as its late afternoon drive program. Seixeiro left the show in 2021, and the show was rebranded as Tim & Friends. During the summer of 2021, Tim & Friends stopped being simulcasted on CJCL and again became a dedicated television program. Tim & Friends concluded its run in 2023.
