Belarus,officially the Republic of Belarus,is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Russia to the east and northeast,Ukraine to the south,Poland to the west,and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Belarus spans an area of 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) with a population of 9.1 million. The country has a hemiboreal climate and is administratively divided into six regions. Minsk is the capital and largest city;it is administered separately as a city with special status.

Pamela Howard Shriver is an American former professional tennis player and current tennis broadcaster,pundit,and coach. During the 1980s and 1990s,Shriver won 133 WTA Tour–level titles,including 21 singles titles,111 women's doubles titles,and one mixed doubles title. This includes 22 major titles,21 in women's doubles and one in mixed doubles. Shriver also won an Olympic gold medal in women's doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics,partnering with Zina Garrison. Shriver and regular doubles partner Martina Navratilova are the only women's pair to complete the Grand Slam in a calendar year,winning all four majors in 1984. She was ranked as high as world No. 3 in singles,and world No. 1 in doubles.

Locke served as the 21st governor of Washington from 1997 to 2005,where he was the first Chinese-American governor as well as the first Asian American governor in the continental U.S. During the Obama administration,Locke served as Secretary of Commerce from 2009 to 2011,and as Ambassador to China from 2011 to 2014,the first Chinese American to serve in the role.

Foreign relations exist between Australia and Lithuania. Australia was among the first countries to re-recognise Lithuania's independence on 27 August 1991. Both countries formally established diplomatic relations on 6 November 1991. Australia is represented in Lithuania through its embassy in Warsaw,Poland. Lithuania has had an embassy in Canberra since 2021.
