Jamie Johnson (born January 23, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for Herning Blue Fox of the Danish Metal Ligaen.
Johnson was born in Port Franks, Ontario. He played junior hockey with the Sarnia Sting and the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League. Johnson made his professional debut in the ECHL with the Louisiana IceGators in the 2003–04 season.
On July 6, 2010, Johnson was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Red Wings. [1] On July 18, 2012, after a strong season in the American Hockey League with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Johnson signaled his intent to return to Europe in signing a two-year contract with Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League.
Following his retirement in the spring of 2017, Johnson became an assistant coach for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks or the 2017–18 season. [2] He also the co-owner and director of the skating skills clinic Scary Skate.
James Stephen Smith is a Scottish-born Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and former assistant coach of the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1984–85 to 2000–01 and coached from 2010–11 to 2020–21. Currently, Smith is the interim head coach with the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League (AHL). Smith played in the 1991 All-Star game in Chicago and was part of the 1991 Canadian Team that won the Canada Cup in Toronto.
Jeff Bes is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player who played several seasons with the Laredo Bucks. Bes has played for many minor league teams such as the Dayton Bombers, Chicago Wolves, Mississippi Sea Wolves, Orlando Solar Bears, Jacksonville Lizard Kings, SaiPa and several other teams including the Dukes of Hamilton. He also coaches in the SPHL.
