Jamie Young (born June 14) is an American basketball coach.
Young was with the Celtics franchise from 2000 until 2021. [1] He served as a video coordinator (2000–2007) and advance scout (2007–2011) for the Celtics before being hired as an assistant coach in 2011. Former Celtics head coach Doc Rivers praised Young for his "incredible work ethic" and "great basketball mind". [2]
In August 2021, the Philadelphia 76ers hired Young as an assistant coach. [3]
In October 2023, Young joined the staff of the Le Moyne College men's basketball team. [4]
He is from Indiana. [5] Young graduated from Blackburn College in 1998. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education. [6]

The 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), 171 lb (78 kg) point guard was selected with the 7th overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in the 1995 NBA draft and won the 1995–96 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. James Arthur Boeheim Jr. is an American former college basketball coach and current Special Assistant to the Athletic Director at Syracuse University. From 1976 until 2023, he was the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's team of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Boeheim guided the Orange to ten Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships, and 34 NCAA tournament appearances, including five Final Four appearances and three appearances in the national title game. In those games, the Orangemen lost to Indiana in 1987, and to Kentucky in 1996, before defeating Kansas in 2003 with All-American Carmelo Anthony.
