Jan Frycz (born 15 May 1954) is a Polish screen and stage actor. He was nominated for six Polish Academy Awards, winning twice for his supporting roles in the films Pornografia (2003) and The Welts (2004). [1]
Frycz's father was a mining engineer and disliked his interest in acting; he argued that a boy should have a more stable job. [2] Despite his father's wishes, Frycz pursued acting and graduated from the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków in 1978. He made his theatre debut in the same year in the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre where he continued performing in the years 1978-82 and 1984-89.
He spent two years in 1982-84 working in Warsaw at the National Theatre and the Polish Theatre, before returning to Kraków where he continued working at the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, and from 1989 till 2006 at the National Stary Theatre. [3]
He made his screen debut in Norwegian film Dagny in 1976. In the second half of the 1970s and 1980s, he focused mainly on his theatre work, playing only a few, mostly episodic roles.
Since 2006, he is an actor of the National Theatre in Warsaw.
Frycz is married to his third wife and has a daughter from the first marriage and four children from the second marriage. [4] His daughters Gabriela and Olga are actresses. [5]

Juliusz Słowacki Theatre is a 19th-century Eclectic theatre-opera house in the heart of Kraków, Poland, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Erected in 1893, it was modeled after some of the best European Baroque and Eclectic theatres such as the Palais Garnier in Paris. The theatre was named after Polish poet Juliusz Słowacki in 1909 and in 1978 was inscribed alongside the Historic Centre of Kraków into the World Heritage Register.
Wojciech Korneli Stattler or Albert Kornel Stattler was a Polish Romantic painter of Swiss aristocratic ancestry, who started training in Vienna and at age 17 went to St. Luke's Academy in Rome. From 1831 he taught as professor at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków. 1850 he returned to Rome. His most famous pupil was Poland's leading painter of historical figures and events, Jan Matejko.
Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, née Kossak, was a prolific Polish poet known as the Polish Sappho and "queen of lyrical poetry" during Poland's interwar period. She was also a dramatist.
Paweł Piotr Kukiz is a Polish politician, singer and actor. He is the leader of Kukiz'15, a non-partisan political alliance campaigning for single-member districts, and was a candidate in the 2015 presidential election, in which he received 21% of the votes in the first round of the elections, finishing third. Since 2015 Kukiz is a member of Polish parliament. He was a co-leader of the Polish Coalition, until Kukiz'15 left in late 2020.

AST National Academy of Theatre Arts, is a drama school based in Kraków and Wrocław, Poland. It was founded in 1946 by actor Juliusz Osterwa, who took the initial steps leading to the establishment of the Academy through the amalgamation of three local studios; Stary Teatr, the Słowacki Theatre, and Iwo Gall's Dramatic Studio.

Juliusz Osterwa, born Julian Andrzej Maluszek, was a renowned Polish actor, theatre director and art theoretician active in the interwar period. He was the founder of Theatre Reduta, the first experimental stage in Warsaw following Poland's return to independence at the end of World War One. Osterwa began his Warsaw career at the age of 33 by staging the works of Poland's revolutionary dramatists including Juliusz Słowacki, Stanisław Wyspiański, Stefan Żeromski, Jerzy Szaniawski, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, and Cyprian Norwid. This team was commonly known as the actor's commune, resembling an ascetic monastery devoted to spiritual practice.
Jan Peszek is a Polish theatre, film, and television actor. Although primarily involved in theatre work, he has appeared in more than sixty films since 1970. He is most well known for his work with dramaturgist Bogusław Schaeffer.
