Jan Iversen (5 June 1916 – 25 August 1999) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.

The county was separated into a northern and southern part by the Trondheimsfjord. Slightly over 200,000 of the county's population lives in the city of Trondheim and its suburbs. The Norwegian dialect of the region is Trøndersk.

On the local level Iversen was mayor of Frøya municipality from 1975 to 1979.
