Janet Bagguley is a former England women's international footballer. [1] After retiring from football Baggguley became a postwoman. [2]
Bagguley made her first appearance for England in their first ever official match. England played against Scotland on 18 November 1972 in Greenock, winning 3–2. [3] Bagguley represented England 11 times. [4] As a was 17-year-old Janet Bagguley of Macclesfield Ladies, described by Wendy Owen as "hard as nails and a ferocious tackler". [5] Team captain Sheila Parker (née Porter) was a 24-year-old centre half.
