Janice Lawton is a Paralympic athlete from Great Britain competing mainly in category F33 shot put and discus events.

Janice Lawton competed in a World Record Sanctioned event in Nottingham 1993 and set three World Records in Shot Put, Discus throw and Javelin throw for F33/34. She competed in World Championships in Berlin 1994 winning Gold and World Record for Javelin Throw F34 and Silver for Shot Put and Discus throws in F34.

Janice has competed in two Paralympics and each time won a single silver medal. Her first games were in 1996 where she won a silver medal in her only event, the shot put. In the 2000 Summer Paralympics she competed in shot and discus winning the silver medal in the later. [1]

Birgit Kober is a German Paralympic athlete. She initially competed in F34 seated throwing events, and from 2011 to 2013 she became the reigning champion at European, World and Paralympic level in both shot put and javelin in her class. At the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London, she broke the world record in both her events. Following changes to the IPC rules for seated throws in 2014, she chose to compete in a standing position as an F36 athlete. She won the F36 shot put at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games with a Paralympic record throw. As of April 2017 she is World Record holder in the Women's F36 shot put, a distance of 11.52 m set in July 2016.

Mohsen Kaedi is a para-athlete from Iran competing mainly in category F34 throwing events. He has competed at two Summer Paralympics, winning a gold medal in the F33–34 javelin at the 2012 Games in London.

Mauricio Valencia is a Colombian Paralympic athlete with cerebral palsy. He represented Colombia at the Summer Paralympics in 2012, 2016 and 2021. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, he won two medals: the gold medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event and the bronze medal in the men's shot put F34 event. In 2021, he won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.

Fatema Nedham is a Paralympic athlete from Bahrain. She is the first female Paralympic athlete to win a medal at the Summer Paralympics for Bahrain. She represented the country at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she won the gold medal in the women's shot put F53 event with a throw of 4.76 metres. She was also the flag bearer for her country during the opening ceremony of the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
