Jarod Green (born 23 May 1981) is an Australian film director, screenwriter and animator most notable for his work on the short film Beached Whale and the television series Beached Az . [1] Together with actor Nicholas Boshier, Green is also the creator of the online fictional character Trent from Punchy. [2]

Whilst studying, Green worked on several films both domestically and abroad, including Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2004), the New South Wales Film and Television Office and Avatar (2009).[ citation needed ]
In April 2008, he directed and animated the short film Beached Whale starring his high school friends. [3]
In March 2010, Green was announced as a finalist in the Cleo Bachelor of the Year Award, coming third overall. [4]

He also composed the scores for the TV series Miracles (2003) for ABC / Touchstone, Jake 2.0 (2003–04), Duck Dodgers (2003–05) for Warner Bros. H2O: Just Add Water, also known as H2O, is an Australian fantasy teen drama created by Jonathan M. Shiff. Trent from Punchy is a fictional YouTube celebrity. Trent first appeared in a YouTube video entitled Trent from Punchy, in a reference to the Western Sydney suburb of Punchbowl on 1 February 2008. The video purported Trent to be a real character, who was found by filmmakers at Punchbowl railway station and offered $20 in order to be interviewed on camera. Trent's antics and language gained notoriety, enabling the video to become a viral sensation.
Nicholas Boshier is an Australian actor. Boshier gained fame after he was revealed to be the actor portraying YouTube celebrity Trent from Punchy, a character whom the film's director Anthony MacFarlane had previously insisted was genuine. Boshier went on to develop the cartoon Beached Az along with Macfarlane and Jarod Green, with Boshier voicing the main character of the whale. In 2014 he starred alongside Christiaan Van Vuuren in the series Soul Mates., Boshier and Van Vuuren had previously collaborated on the web series Bondi Hipsters.
