Jason Dixon (born April 4, 1973) is a former American professional basketball player. [1]
Dixon played with teams in Turkey, Israel, Argentina, Sweden and Cyprus after his departure from Liberty in 1995. [2] In 1998, he joined the Guangdong Southern Tigers, and was a member of their team which won five CBA league championships between 2004 and 2009. Following the conclusion of their championship 2009 season, Dixon retired from the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He would then play for the Philippine Patriots and the Thailand Tigers before retiring from basketball altogether.
On December 23, 2009, the Southern Tigers held a ceremony at Tigers Arena to retire his #15 jersey in honour of his contributions to the team. Dixon is only the second CBA player to have his jersey retired, with the first being Yao Ming. [3] He was also the only international player to have their number retired for any team in the CBA before Tracy McGrady had his number retired by the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles in 2014.
Mengke Bateer or Mönkhbaatar, commonly referred to simply as Bateer in China, is a former Mongolian-Chinese professional basketball player. As a center, he played parts of three seasons in the NBA, winning the NBA Finals with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003; Bateer is one of two players born in China to win an NBA championship, the other being shooting guard/small forward Sun Yue, who won the 2009 NBA Finals with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Xinjiang Flying Tigers is a professional basketball team based in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, China. Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers or Guangdong Southern Tigers, also known as Guangdong Dongguan Bank for sponsorship reasons, are a Chinese professional basketball team owned by the Guangdong Winnerway (Hongyuan) Group. The team is one of the best-performing teams in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The Tigers have won eleven CBA titles, more than any other team in the league. They are also the only team to have qualified for the CBA playoffs in every season since the league launched in 1995. The team plays its home games in Dongguan, Guangdong. Occasionally, for marketing purposes, the team plays some of its home games in Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and other cities in the Pearl River Delta.

He is also coach of the Australia men's national basketball team. In an NBL coaching career spanning over 20 years, Goorjian has won six championships: two with the South East Melbourne Magic, three with the Sydney Kings and one with the South Dragons. He previously served as the head coach of the Australia men's team from 2001 to 2008 before returning as coach in 2020.
