Jason Hamacher is an American musician. He was the drummer for the band Frodus. [1]
Aside from music, Hamacher is an accomplished photographer and documentarian and runs Lost Origin Productions LLC. He is currently[ when? ] working in Syria with the ancient Aramaic speaking Syriac Orthodox Church. In March 2008, Hamacher starred in the documentary short, Old Soul which won the 2008 International Documentary Challenge. Lost Origin Productions will release Hamacher's field recordings of the earliest known Christian chant, publish a book of his Syrian photography entitled Aleppo, Syria: Witness to an Ancient Legacy, and launch an international series of limited edition cross cultural images. In between 2006 and 2010, Hamacher recorded ancient Syria chants on his journeys. [2]
In 2014, the Gallery at Convergence in Alexandria hosted an exhibit of his photographs, Syria: Sacred Spaces, Ancient Prayers. [3] Hamacher has also worked with Smithsonian Folkways on a recording of Urfan chants recorded in Syria. [4]
Hamacher has written about the state of Syria and his experiences documenting the communities there for "The Washington Post''. [5]
Although he has remained quieter in the music scene than former bandmate Shelby Cinca, Hamacher has performed in Regents. [6]

Regents is an American punk rock band formed in 2007 by former Sleepytime Trio and Maximillian Colby guitar/vocalists Drew Ringo and David NeSmith and drummer Jason Hamacher of Frodus. Originally a keytar and drum duo called Regions, the pair recruited NeSmith's Sleepytime Trio and Maximillian Colby bandmate Drew Ringo, as well as former The Exploder bassist Dan Evans and begun playing under the name Regents.

Squad Five-O is an American punk rock band from Savannah, Georgia no longer formally touring or recording, but rather only performing occasional weekend concerts. Like their initial ska-punk stylings, their name was derived from a cross between the television shows Hawaii Five-O and The Mod Squad. Between 1997 and 2006 the band grew lyrically and in popularity, and also shifted its style significantly. Over the course of their career they moved from a small indie Christian label to the major label Capitol Records and released five albums in the process.

Combatwoundedveteran was a grindcore/screamo band split between Ithaca, New York and Tampa, Florida. In their 7 years of existence they managed to put out several splits, including one with heavily influential screamo band Orchid, a 10" EP, one full-length album and a posthumous release that compiles nearly all their splits and early EPs. Though the band did not tour very often or put out many records their footprint is still visible in the screamo and powerviolence underground. The band was signed to famous Florida record label No Idea Records late in their career. Guitarist Chris Norris currently does graphic design under the name Steak Mtn. and has contributed artwork for releases by groups such as Atom And His Package, Orchid and Against Me!.

The Blamed is an American Christian hardcore punk band currently based out of Chicago. During their tenure they have played primarily hardcore punk, pop punk, punk rock, and emo music with some influences from metal as well. They originally are from California having relocated to Illinois after guitarist Bryan Gray moved to Chicago. The band originally formed in 1994 and disbanded in 2003. Members during this era of the band included Bryan Gray, Christopher Wiitala, Trevor Wiitala, Jeff Locke, Jim Chaffin, John Hansen, and Matt Switaj. They have released three albums, with Tooth & Nail Records, 21 in 1996, Frail in 1996, and Give Us Barabbas in 2002. The band released four albums, with Grrr Records, ...Again in 1998, Forever in 1999, Germany in 2000, and Isolated Incident in 2001. The band reformed in the summer of 2016 to play a one-off set at Audio Feed music festival. This has since lead to the band reforming and recording a split EP with the Chicago hardcore band The Satire, a band sharing multiple members with the Blamed. The split EP was released in November 2018 through Indivision Music.
