Jason Spevack (born July 4, 1997) is a Canadian actor and filmmaker. He is a graduate of The London School of Economics. He has dual citizenship with Canada and the United States. [1] Spevack has appeared in over 40 commercials for radio and television and had a principal role in the TV series Dino Dan . [1] He is perhaps best known for his roles in Fever Pitch , Sunshine Cleaning and Ramona and Beezus , as well as receiving a Young Artist Award nomination as Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film for his role in the 2012 comedy film Jesus Henry Christ . He made his debut to the film and television industry in 2003 appearing in three short films entitled The School, Terminal Venus, and Stalker. He then appeared in two television films and the television show Kevin Hill in 2004. In 2005 he appeared in 72 Hours: True Crime , The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico , 1-800-Missing , and "Crazy for Christmas", Fever Pitch . In 2007, he appeared in Instant Star , ReGenesis , State of Mind , and Rent-a-Goalie . He can also be seen in Sunshine Cleaning as Oscar Lorkowski, a little boy that gets expelled from school, Dino Dan as Dan Henderson, the main character that likes dinosaurs, and Ramona and Beezus as Howie Kemp, Ramona's best friend.

The Ramona books are a series of eight humorous children's novels by Beverly Cleary that center on Ramona Quimby, her family and friends. The first book, Beezus and Ramona, appeared in 1955. The final book, Ramona's World, was published in 1999. Two books in the series were named Newbery Honor books, Ramona and Her Father and Ramona Quimby, Age 8. Ramona and Her Mother received the National Book Award. Sometimes known as the Beezus and Ramona series, as of 2012, the books were being marketed by HarperCollins as "The Complete Ramona Collection".

Beezus and Ramona is a 1955 children's novel written by Beverly Cleary. It is the first of Cleary's books to focus on Ramona Quimby and her sister Beatrice, known as Beezus. Beezus and Ramona is realistic fiction, written from nine-year-old Beezus's point of view, as she struggles to get along with her four-year-old sister. Dino Dan is a Canadian television series that was created and is directed by J. J. Johnson. The series premiered on TVOKids in Canada on January 4, 2010 and on the Nick Jr. Channel in the United States on October 17 of the same year. The show is produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment, in association with TVOKids, Access, Knowledge Network, and SCN. A sequel of the series, Dino Dana, premiered on Amazon Prime on May 26, 2017. The show premiered on Universal Kids on October 6, 2018, three years after Nick Jr.'s rights to the series expired. It was reported in February 2013 that CITV had acquired and secured rights to air the programme and eventually re-air it on the channel.
