Jasper Morris (born 27 December 1957) is a Master of Wine since 1985. [1] An expert on the wine of Burgundy, with a strong interest in other pinot-producing countries such as New Zealand, he has taken a strong interest in the nascent wine industries of China and Japan, visiting the wine regions of both countries. He has launched InsideBurgundy.com website showing all reviews and news from the wine region of Burgundy.
Morris founded the successful specialist wine importers Morris & Verdin in 1981. He studied to become a Master of Wine concurrently with Jancis Robinson, MW, and with his sister Arabella Woodrow, MW, Morris achieving the accreditation in 1985 and Woodrow in 1986. Morris and Woodrow are the only pair of siblings to be Masters of Wine. [2]
After Berry Bros. & Rudd acquired Morris & Verdin in 2003, Morris was appointed BBR buying director. [3] In May 2008, Morris, together with colleagues at BBR, published "The Future of Wine Report", speculating on the state of the wine industry in the coming 50 years. [4] [5] [6] He retired from the company in July 2017.
In 2016 Morris was appointed as Senior Consult for Christie's with responsibility for the annual Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction. [7] Since 2021 he has continued in the same role for Sotheby’s. [8]
Morris' early book publications are White Wines of Burgundy, and The Wines of the Loire. In September 2010, Morris presented his substantial book Inside Burgundy, which won the André Simon prize, the initial launch publication of the new BBR publishing division, Berry Bros. & Rudd Press. [9]
Having retired from commerce Jasper Morris has embarked on a new career as Burgundy expert and critic, culminating in the launch of the website Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy in September 2018. [10] The Second edition also won the André Simon prize in 2021. [11]
Jancis Mary RobinsonOBE, ComMA, MW is a British wine critic, journalist and wine writer. She currently writes a weekly column for the Financial Times, and writes for her website JancisRobinson.com, updated daily. She provided advice for the wine cellar of Queen Elizabeth II.
Montrachet is an Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) and Grand Cru vineyard for white wine made of Chardonnay in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy. It straddles the border between the two communes of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet and produces what many consider to be the greatest dry white wine in the world. It is surrounded by four other Grand Cru vineyards all having "Montrachet" as part of their names. Montrachet itself is generally considered superior to its four Grand Cru neighbours, and this is reflected in its higher price.

The Varsity Blind Wine Tasting Match is a series of annual competitions in blind wine tasting between the Oxford University Blind Wine Tasting Society and the Cambridge University Blind Wine Tasting Society; the blind wine tasting teams of the University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews; and the blind wine tasting teams of the University of Bath and Bristol University. It is sponsored by champagne house Pol Roger. The Oxford/Cambridge competition has run since 1953. The current Oxford/Cambridge convenor is James Simpson, Master of Wine (MW). Berry Bros. & Rudd (BBR) is a family-run British wine and spirits merchant founded in London, England, in 1698, although they did not become wine merchants until the late 18th century. Since 1698, the company has grown from initially a small coffee shop, into an international business with six offices worldwide.
Remington Norman is a wine merchant and author who has written books on Burgundy and Rhone style wine. He became a Master of Wine in 1984 and resigned from this Institute in 2004. He is a two-time winner of the Andre Simon Prize.
The World of Fine Wine, abbreviated WFW, is a British quarterly publication for a wealthy audience of wine enthusiasts and collectors. Originally published by Quarto Magazines Ltd, and now published by New Statesman Media Group, the first issue was released in June 2004. Joanna Simon is a British author and wine journalist known for her column in The Sunday Times for 22 years from 1987 to 2009, where she was also a cookery writer from 2004 to 2009.

Domaine Dujac is a Burgundy wine producer run by the Seysses family. Jacques Seysses, founded the domaine in 1967, and the first release was in 1969. He remains a part of the domaine's operation. Today, the domaine is largely run by Jacques' sons Jeremy and Alec, as well as Jeremy's wife Diana. Jeremy joined his parents in the winery from 1998. He was then followed by his wife Diana in 2001 and his brother Alec in 2003.

Château Changyu–Moser XV is a winery and vineyard estate near Yinchuan, in the Ningxia wine region in Northwest China. Chateau Changyu–Moser XV is also the name of the wine produced by this estate. Opened in August 2013, Chateau Changyu-Moser is part of Changyu, China's oldest and largest wine brand founded in 1892 by Zhang Bishi.
