Javier Sanso (born on 2 April 1969) [1] in Palma de Mallorca, is a Spanish professional navigator and skipper.

Vendee Globe

He has tried to complete the Vendee Globe starting twice firstly in fourth edition in the 2000–2001 Vendée Globe on Old Spice he retired after 42 days at sea because of the breakage. He then took part in the 2012–2013 Vendée Globe but capsized (keel break) on 3 February 2013, 360 miles south of Sao Miguel in the Azores during his ascent of the Atlantic. He was rescued twelve hours later by the Portuguese Maritime Rescue Service. [2]

IMOCA 60 PRB 4 Sailboat

The IMOCA 60 Class yacht PRB 4 was designed by Lauriot-Prévost and G. Verdier and launched in the 2010 after being assembled by CDK Technologies based in Lorient, France. The hull was moulded in those of Safran and manufactured at the Larros Shipyard in Gujan Mestras under the direction of Thierry Elluère. The deck will was made at CDK technologies in Port la Forêt. In Italy, near Milan, Refraschini manufacture the internal structure of the boat. The initial keel was made by AMPM, Mothe Achard.

IMOCA 60 Acciona Sailboat

The IMOCA 60 class yacht Acciona 100% Ecopowered, ESP 04 was designed by Owen Clark Design and launched in 2nd Sept 2011 after being made by Southern Ocean Marine in New Zealand.
