Javier Vargas is a Spanish blues guitarist. Born in Madrid to Argentine parents who had emigrated to Spain from Buenos Aires, he founded the Vargas Blues Band in 1991, the year they released their first recording, All Around Blues. Since 1992, he has recorded on the Dro-Atlantic (Warner Music Group, Spain) label. [1] He regularly tours Europe and Spain with his band, also playing at the 30th Anniversary Montreux Jazz Festival. Jerry González American musician

Jerry González was an American bandleader, trumpeter and percussionist of Puerto Rican descent. Together with his brother, bassist Andy González, he played an important role in the development of Latin jazz during the late 20th century. During the 1970s, both played alongside Eddie Palmieri and in Manny Oquendo's Conjunto Libre, and from 1980 to 2018 they directed The Fort Apache Band. From 2000 to 2018, Jerry González resided in Madrid, where he fronted Los Piratas del Flamenco and El Comando de la Clave. In October 2018, he died of a heart attack after a fire in his home in Madrid.

Lunas del Auditorio is a recognition given by the Auditorio Nacional to the best live concerts in Mexico. The prize is a replica of the sculpture of the Moon by sculptor Juan Soriano. The ceremony is broadcast by Televisa, TV Azteca, Channel 22 of the Secretariat of Culture and Canal Once of the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico.

The Critical Eye Awards were created in 1990 by the Radio Nacional de España (RNE) program El Ojo Crítico. They recognize and promote the work of young talents, under 40 years of age, who have distinguished themselves in the preceding year in the modalities of plastic arts, narrative, poetry, film, theater, classical music, modern music, and dance. Since 1997, RNE has also presented the Special Critical Eye Award for an outstanding career. The Ibero-American Critical Eye Award has been presented biennially since 2014.
