Harry Peter "Bud" Grant Jr. is a former head coach and player of American football, Canadian football, and a former basketball player in the NBA. Grant served as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) for eighteen seasons; he was the team's second (1967–83) and fourth (1985) head coach. Before coaching the Vikings, he was the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL) for ten seasons, winning the Grey Cup four times. Grant is the most successful coach in Vikings history, and the third most successful professional football coach overall, with a combined 283 wins in the NFL and CFL. Grant was elected to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994. He was the first coach to guide teams to the Grey Cup and the Super Bowl.
Daniel Ray Ainge is an American basketball executive and former professional basketball and baseball player. Ainge is currently the general manager and President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Jay Daniel Bouwmeester is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a first round selection, third overall, of the Florida Panthers at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2003 and played seven seasons in the Panthers organization before being traded to the Calgary Flames in 2009, with which he played four seasons. Bouwmeester was then traded to the Blues in 2013. He held one of the longest iron man streaks in NHL history as he appeared in 737 consecutive regular season games between 2004 and 2014. He played in the 2007 and 2009 NHL All-Star Games.
Robert Victor "B. J." Ryan Jr. is an American baseball coach and former relief pitcher. He is the pitching coach at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He played college baseball at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for coach Tony Robichaux in 1997 and 1998 and in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1999 to 2009.
Salvatore Leonard Bando is an American former professional baseball player and executive. He played as a third baseman in Major League Baseball between 1966 and 1981, and was an integral member of the Oakland Athletics dynasty that won three consecutive World Series championships between 1972 and 1974. He ended his playing career with the Milwaukee Brewers. Bando played college baseball at Arizona State University for coach Bobby Winkles.

He played college baseball at George Mason University from 1995 to 1997 for coach Bill Brown. He played 11 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies.
The Fremont Cannon is the trophy awarded to the winner of the Battle for Nevada, an American college football rivalry game played annually by the Nevada Wolf Pack football team of the University of Nevada, Reno (Nevada) and the UNLV Rebels football team of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The trophy was built in 1970 and is a replica of a 19th-century Howitzer cannon that accompanied American explorer and politician John C. Frémont on an expedition to the American West and Nevada in the mid 19th century. The original cannon had been abandoned, due to heavy snows, in the Sierra Nevada in 1843. The replica cannon was originally fired following a touchdown by the team in possession of the cannon, it has been inoperable since 1999. The wooden carriage is painted the school color of the team in possession, navy blue for Nevada or scarlet for UNLV. The trophy is the heaviest and most expensive in college football. Since 2012, the game is also part of the Silver State Series, the series of athletic competitions between the two schools.

He played college football at Hawai'i where he set several major college football passing records, some of which he still holds.
John Lowell McLaren is a former Major League Baseball coach and manager, best known for his brief tenure as manager of the Seattle Mariners, from July 1, 2007 to June 19, 2008. A native of the Houston, Texas area, McLaren was a catcher in the Houston Astros minor league system from 1970 to 1976, and later managed in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system.
David Thomas Bush is an American professional baseball coach and former pitcher. He is currently the pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). The right-hander played in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers. Bush also played for the SK Wyverns of the KBO League in 2012.
Jay Michael Gruden is an American football coach and former quarterback, who was most recently the head coach of the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). During his time in the Arena Football League (AFL), he won four ArenaBowls as a player and two more as a head coach. He is the younger brother of Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, and was an assistant coach of the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl XXXVII.
William G. Tierney is an American lacrosse coach who currently heads the men's lacrosse team at the University of Denver. He is a devout Catholic. Tierney is the first college lacrosse coach to win an NCAA DI Championship west of the Eastern Time Zone. He has coached seven NCAA DI championship teams, including six at Princeton University and one at the University of Denver. Tierney's teams have had a combined winning percentage of .750.
The Morgan State Bears football team competes in American football on behalf of Morgan State University. The Pittsburgh Panthers baseball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate baseball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pitt baseball team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference and plays their home games at Charles L. Cost Field in the Petersen Sports Complex. It is the university's oldest recorded sport, dating to 1869. Prior to joining the ACC in 2013-14, Pitt had won both the Big East Conference regular season and Big East Tournament championships. The Panthers have also received four First Team All-American selections, and have appeared in three NCAA championships. 52 Panthers have been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.
The 2006–07 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team represented Villanova University in the 2006–07 college basketball season. Villanova was led by head coach Jay Wright. The Wildcats participated in the Big East Conference and played their home games at The Pavilion with some select home games at the Wachovia Center. They finished the season 22–11, 9–7 in Big East play. They received an at-large bid to the 2007 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, earning a 9 seed, where they lost to Kentucky in the first round.
Jay Miller is the current head coach of the Hofstra Pride softball team, which represents Hofstra University in the Colonial Athletic Association. He was previously head coach of the softball teams at Purdue, Oklahoma City, Missouri, and Mississippi State.
