Jay Gray is an American TV journalist working at NBC News as a Senior National Correspondent. He reports on all NBC platforms and particularly can be heard providing reports on NBC local stations and affiliates as well as reporting on-air on the big stories and is notable for covering NBC News' Winter and Summer Olympics. [1]

After graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas, He first joined NBC in 1993 starting at KXAS an NBC owned-and-operated station based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas before moving up to the big leagues at NBC News in 2000.

In Dec 2011, while covering the Jerry Sandusky trial in Pennsylvania, he was at a party watching a football game and was pulled over for DUI. [2] After completing rehab, he was taken off the story but still kept his job by keeping busy covering other stories he continues to do and especially NBC's coverage of the Winter and Summer Olympic Games he's known for.
