Wadkar was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he developed a passion for acting from an early age. He began his career in the 1980s, initially working in theater before transitioning to the silver screen. His early work predominantly involved Marathi films, but he later expanded his repertoire to include Hindi films and television.

Career

Jaywant Wadkar made a name for himself by portraying a wide range of characters, from comedic roles to more serious and intense performances. Over the years, he has become a well-known face in the Marathi film industry, collaborating with some of the biggest names in Marathi and Hindi cinema.

Personal life

Jaywant Wadkar is married and has a daughter, Swamini Wadkar, who has also entered the film industry. [12]

He is known to be close friends with fellow actors like Vijay Patkar and has often expressed his views on the evolving landscape of Marathi cinema. [13]

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela is the soundtrack to the 2013 romantic tragedy film of the same name, directed and co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Bhansali also composed the film's soundtrack, which consists of 11 songs and were written by Siddharth–Garima. The music was influenced by traditional folk music originated from Gujarat and were composed before the film's production. The album was released on 4 October 2013 through the Eros Music label on digital platforms.
