Jean-Gabriel Périot is a French filmmaker.

Biography

He lived in southern France and Guadeloupe before moving to Paris. [1]

Contents

Périot never went to a film school, instead he studied media and communication. While working in the audiovisual service at Centre Georges Pompidou he turned to editing and got introduced to archives. [2] [3]

His favourite filmmaker include: Dziga Vertov, [4] Michael Haneke, Jean-Luc Godard and Guy Debord. [5]

Périot currently shares his time between Paris and Nice.
