Jean-Jacques Terblanche (born c. 1980) is a former paralympic swimmer from South Africa who competed mainly in category S8 events.
Terblanche won a gold medal at the 1994 IPC Swimming World Championships in Malta, at the age of 14. [1]
Terblanche competed in the 1996 Summer Paralympics in Atlanta winning a gold and bronze medal. He won the gold in the 200m medley in a new world record time and won the bronze in the 100m butterfly. He also competed in the 50m freestyle, finishing eleventh overall in the heats and was disqualified in the 100m breaststroke. [2]
Terblanche injured his neck and lost the use of his left arm after a car accident when he was two years old. He attended Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in Pretoria. [1]

David Holding is a British wheelchair athlete. Holding was born with spina bifida, a birth defect that affects the spinal cord, and has been in a wheelchair since childhood. An accountant by training, he competes as an amateur athlete in wheelchair races of all distances. He has won a number of races, but is most well known for being a four-time winner of the London Marathon and the former world record holder, and a Paralympic Games gold medal winner in the 100 meter wheelchair race.
Peru made its Paralympic Games début at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, with a single representative to compete in swimming. It sent two competitors to the 1976 Summer Paralympics, then was absent for two decades, before returning in 1996 with a three-man delegation. It has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, but has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics.

Timothy Malcolm Disken, is an Australian paralympic swimmer. He represented Australia at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships and won bronze in the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he won a gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle S9, a silver medal in the men's S9 50m freestyle and a bronze medal in the men's 200m individual medley SM9. He also competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
