Hans-Peter Friedrich is a German politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU) who has been serving as a member of the German Bundestag since 1998. He was also given an additional charge of the Ministry of Narcotics Control after the death of Ali Mohammad Mahar.

Denys Anatoliiovych Monastyrsky or Monastyrskyi was a Ukrainian lawyer and politician who served as Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine from 16 July 2021 until his death in a helicopter crash on 18 January 2023. He had been very close to Volodymyr Zelenskyy since the beginning of his presidential campaign.
