Jeanne Labrune (born 21 June 1950) is a French screenwriter and film director. She has directed 13 films since 1978. Her film Sand and Blood was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival. [1]

Palme dOr Highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film Festival

The Palme d'Or is the highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film Festival. It was introduced in 1955 by the festival's organizing committee. Previously, from 1939 to 1954, the highest prize at the festival was the Grand Prix du Festival International du Film.
