Loudoun County is in the northern part of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. In 2020,the census returned a population of 420,959,making it Virginia's third-most populous county. The county seat is Leesburg. Loudoun County is part of the Washington–Arlington–Alexandria,DC–VA–MD–WV Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Fairfax Connector is a public bus service provided by Fairfax County,Virginia,United States,and is managed by the county government. The bus system provides service within Fairfax County,and connects to Metrobus,Metrorail stations,Virginia Railway Express,and other local bus systems. Fairfax Connector serves all of Fairfax Metrorail Stations,the city of Alexandria,the city of Fairfax,the Washington Dulles International Airport,and the Pentagon Metrorail station. In 2023,the system had a ridership of 8,986,900,or about 31,500 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2024.
The American Legion Memorial Bridge,also known as the American Legion Bridge and formerly as the Cabin John Bridge,is a bridge carrying Interstate 495 across the Potomac River between Montgomery County,Maryland and Fairfax County,Virginia in the United States. It is an American Water Landmark. Plummers Island is located immediately downstream of the bridge.

Herndon station is a Washington Metro station in Fairfax County,Virginia on the Silver Line that opened on November 15,2022. The station is in the median strip of VA-267 adjacent to the current Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride parking garage and bus station,which is on the south side of the highway. It has two pedestrian bridges across SR 267 to reach entrances on either side of the highway. Bus bays are located on the south side of the highway.
Innovation Center station is a Washington Metro station in Fairfax County,Virginia on the Silver Line. It is located adjacent to the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology at the intersection of the SR 267 and SR 28 in McNair,near the Fairfax / Loudoun county line. Originally planned to begin operation in 2016,the station opened on November 15,2022.

The Fairfax County meals tax referendum is a 2016 referendum that proposes a 4% tax on all prepared meals sold in Fairfax County,Virginia. The 4% tax would be on top of the current 6% state sales tax,resulting in a total of 10% in taxes charged on all prepared meals. The referendum was voted on by Fairfax County residents in the general election on November 8,2016.

Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections were held June 20,2023. These were the first elections held following redistricting as a result of the 2020 census. The Democrats retained control of the Senate.
