Jeffrey Pevar is an American producer, band leader, composer, touring and session musician. Pevar was the co-founder of CPR, [1] (with David Crosby and James Raymond), The Gilmour Project (with Scott Guberman, Mark Karan, Kasim Sulton and Prairie Prince), JP3 (with Matt Spencer and Christo Pillani), and ZepDrix (with Inger Nova). Pevar recorded his debut record From the Core on his label Pet Peev Music, released in December 2012. [2] In 2015 Pevar released the CD, Grateful Jazz [3] which he produced for the ensemble Jazz Is Dead.

Pevar has worked with Crosby, Stills and Nash, [4] Donald Fagen's Rock & Soul Revue, James Taylor, Marc Cohn, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Jimmy Webb, Rickie Lee Jones, Dr. John, Carly Simon, Kenny Loggins, Wilson Pickett, Jazz Is Dead, Phil Lesh and Friends, David Foster, Meat Loaf, Phil Collins, Aztec Two-Step, Richie Havens, Odetta, Jonatha Brooke, Willy Deville, Scott Murowski, [5] Joe Linus, Peter Gallway and Pat McGee. [6] He is a founding member of CPR: Crosby, Pevar & Raymond. [7] In 2022 and 2023 Pevar toured with the Gilmour Project performing Pink Floyd songs. [8]

Crosby & Nash is a double album by Crosby & Nash, released in 2004, the duo's fourth and final studio recording. It was the first studio album by the duo since Whistling Down the Wire 28 years earlier, and proved to be the final album of original material by any grouping of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in quartet, trio, or duo configuration. In 2006, a truncated version of this album appeared containing 13 of its tracks on one disc. The song "Michael " is in tribute to their friend, guitarist Michael Hedges, who died in 1997. The core band for the album includes James Raymond and Jeff Pevar from Crosby's CPR project, session musicians Leland Sklar and Russ Kunkel who played with Crosby and Nash in the 1970s, and guitarist Dean Parks. All tracks were recorded from January 12, 2004, through February 12, 2004, at Center Staging in Burbank, California and at Kazoo Studios in Kauai.

Furthur was an American rock band founded in 2009 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. The original lineup also included John Kadlecik of Dark Star Orchestra on lead guitar, RatDog's Jeff Chimenti on keyboards and Jay Lane on percussion, and Joe Russo of the Benevento/Russo Duo on drums. Named after the famous touring bus used by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters in the 1960s, Furthur was an improvisational jam band that performed music primarily from the extensive Grateful Dead songbook, as well as their own original music and that of several other well-known artists. In addition to the original members, the band's lineup included backup vocalists Sunshine Becker of the a cappella ensemble SoVoSó and Jeff Pehrson of the folk rock bands Box Set and the Fall Risk. After five years, Furthur disbanded in late 2014.

Lockn' Festival, first known as Interlocken Music Festival, was an annual four-day music festival held at Oak Ridge Farm near Arrington in Nelson County, Virginia. The festival focused primarily on jam bands and other music improvisation acts. Its inaugural event took place September 5–8, 2013, drew nearly 25,000 fans and featured notable groups such as Furthur, Trey Anastasio Band, Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic featuring John Fogerty, The String Cheese Incident featuring Zac Brown, and The Black Crowes.

<i>Grateful Jazz</i> 2015 studio album by Jazz Is Dead

Grateful Jazz is the fourth album by the instrumental Grateful Dead cover band Jazz Is Dead. The original tracks were recorded in 2004 in Hartford, Connecticut, and were then set aside. In anticipation of the fiftieth anniversary of the Grateful Dead, guitarist Jeff Pevar dug up the recordings, added overdubs by a number of guest musicians, and released them on CD in 2015 via his Pet Peev Music. The album features Pevar along with keyboard player T. Lavitz, bassist David Livolsi, and drummer Rod Morgenstein. The album is dedicated to the memory of T. Lavitz.
