Armstrong County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population was 68,941. The county seat is Kittanning. The county was organized on March 12, 1800, from parts of Allegheny, Westmoreland and Lycoming Counties. It was named in honor of John Armstrong, who represented Pennsylvania in the Continental Congress and served as a major general during the Revolutionary War.

The South Hills is the southern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the neighborhoods in the City of Pittsburgh south of the South Side Slopes. Northland Public Library is a public library serving Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Located in McCandless Township about eight miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, it is operated as a municipal authority supported by the residents of McCandless, Ross Township, the Borough of Franklin Park, Marshall Township, and the Borough of Bradford Woods. It is one of the largest suburban public libraries in Pennsylvania with over 38,000 cardholders and well over 1.1 million items circulated in 2012. The library is a member of the Allegheny County Library Association.
Monroeville Public Library is a public library system located at 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd. in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. It opened on November 3, 1964 as part of Gateway Campus directly opposite the administration building of Gateway School District and three school facilities including Gateway High School, Moss Side Middle School, and Dr. Cleveland Stewart Jr. Elementary School. The library has undergone numerous renovations and additions since it opened in 1964. Today, the Monroeville Public Library is a meeting place for the citizens of Monroeville and sees daily use of all of its resources and services.
